Ever watch the show on Bravo called “Million Dollar Listing“? I became hooked and had to wean myself recently.
The premise is 3 hot aggressive young guys selling homes in Beverly Hills and Malibu.
I lived there for many years so I really enjoyed the vibe. LA is a place that will eat you up and spit you out if you’re not on top of your game. I learned it fast and hard as a musician down there. These guys rock… but now I’m in Marin and I’m wondering how our Real Estate Agents stack up.
Are Marin Agents in the Loop? (Where’s the Beef?)
For the most part, I find friendly smiling pictures with a lot of text on the pages of Marin County Real Estate Agent websites and blogs. Some have good information and some talk mostly about themselves and things that do not impact me as a possible buyer. So far I haven’t found any informative video where I can get to know the real estate agent in a more personal way. Not one website that I found today is sharing their expertise on video . Many are blogging, but most of the sites aren’t developed in a way that actually collect and retain visitors and are invisible to searches.
I’m Confused
When I’m shopping for a home, I have to spend a lot of time hanging out with my real estate agent checking out homes - and I wonder why their sites are not enhanced with personal and informative video? I know in the coming years, they all will. Some Marin real estate agents show homes with video, which is great for prospective clients. But I haven’t found one sharing themselves and their inside expertise on video.
I Personally Know Marin Real Estate Agents Who Rock!
Sure, many Marin County Real Estate Agent sites are filled with great information some even have video or pictures showing homes which rock… I know a few who should have their own TV shows about them! But how would rocking Marin Agents know about new media marketing? They’re too busy rocking the real estate world in Marin.
I’m lucky to have been slammed by the Internet in ’04 in the music biz! I had to learn this stuff fast and hard … and keep my eye on the ever changing Internet and its rules for getting noticed.
Hot New Marketing Tricks
There are some new super hot ways to market that make all the sense in the world and Marin Real Estate Agents haven’t really caught on yet. Its frequently called “in-bound” marketing and the clients come to you after seeing your search engine optimized video! I love this stuff. Glad this blog post has a date because hopefully Marin will be booming by the end of this year after I get a hold of everyone!
Marin “Million Dollar Listing”?
Ok, maybe we should follow around a few agents with a camera and make a local Million Dollar Listing show out of them, we could easily pull it off here at Video Blog Marketing, and I would become the first fan to get addicted. But that’s not what we’re suggesting! We’re more interested in heavy duty – rocking – new media marketing, and that means being the “go to” agent who shares inside information on Marin Real Estate!
