What is the best kind of website for a lawyer? A WordPress Blogging website with Video

Best Lawyer Website:

The wave of the future is here. Google is about to be on our televisions which means any website without video is missing the revolution. The best lawyer websites share their expertise and answer potential client’s questions with video.

Video is Cheap and Easy

The most inexpensive and effective way to put video on your website is with free WordPress website and blogging software on your own URL or web address.

WordPress is user friendly, and you can control your website yourself adding new video every hour on the hour if you wish. Youtube is free and Wordperss blogging software is free as well.

Most people don’t know you can build a beautiful website with WordPress and 2% of the biggest websites in the world are built with WordPress free software. This website is WordPress. It takes a WordPress expert to make it look pro.

How Easy is Video?

What are the drawbacks?

EDITING: While you can’t really edit the Flip Camcorder footage, you can clip the beginning and ending off, and I probably should have done just that. There is no branding like there would be if we used some editing software where you can add your logo and music.

LIGHTS: Also I had my office lights on as bright as they would go (they’re on a dimmer). Be sure to light your face.

STABILITY: Even when I kicked the desk it had some movement, so keeping it stable is important. It looked fine until I picked the camera up off the pile of books.

SOUND: I had a very quiet office at that moment. Without a lavaliere microphone, your sound can be distracting with a Flip Camcorder, so be careful! Bad sound can drive someone away faster than substandard visual images.

However, just think what you can do at your own desk? You can share your best advice and expertise to potential clients that easily.

Here is what I did to create this video blog:

1. Went to Best Buy and Bought a Flip Camcorder at $179;
2. Put the Flip on a pile of Books on my desk;
3. Turned it on and leaned back into my desk chair;
4. Started talking (a Script is better);
5. Plugged it into my computer with it’s built in USB plug that pops out;
6. Clicked the “Share” button in the Flip program;
7. Dragged the video file into a box in the Flip program;
8. Clicked the YouTube “Option” under “Share”;
9. Signed into my free youtube account;
10. Waited a few minutes for the video to upload to youtube;
11. Copied the “embed” code;
12. Pasted the “embed” code into this post in my WordPress “Edit Post” HTML
13. Clicked “Publish” in my WordPress Blog; and
14. Here it is … and all my friendly “listeners” who are interested in creating their own video, will be reading this post and enjoying this video!
